Project Lead for a Cooperation Project in Argentina (m/f/d)

IAK Agrar Consulting is an independent, agriculture-focused consulting company. Since 1981, we have been working for public and private clients in Germany and abroad. In the field of international development cooperation, we specialize in promoting sustainable agriculture and food security. On behalf of public and private donors, we plan, implement, and evaluate projects across Asia, Africa, Eastern Europe, and Latin America.

To strengthen our team, we are looking for a Project Lead (m/f/d) for a cooperation project in Argentina with the starting date July/August 2026. The project focuses on agribusiness, agricultural trade (free trade agreement EU-Mercosur), economic cooperation and a scientific exchange particularly on bioeconomy. 

Your profile:

Minimum requirements:

• Completed university degree
• At least 10 years of professional experience
• Proven leadership experience in international projects
• Excellent written and spoken English skills
• Good written and spoken Spanish skills 

Additional qualifications/experiences:

• Academic background in economic sciences, agricultural economics, agricultural sciences or related fields
• Experience in agribusiness, marketing of agricultural products, and export promotion/international agricultural trade
• Ability to build and facilitate economic and scientific cooperations, ideally already with experiences in that area
• Sound knowledge of the German food and agricultural sector (including retail and wholesale) as well as a good network
• Experience in international cooperation, preferably with private sector stakeholders and government institutions
• Several years of management experience in complex projects
• Familiar with accounting procedures, administrative processes and regulations in connection with publicly financed projects or willingness to familiarize yourself with it
• Regional experience in South America (minimum 2 years)
• Good knowledge of written and spoken German
