Project Lead for Agri-market System Development and Digitization in India (m/f/d)

We are an independent, agriculture-focused consulting company. Since 1981, we have been working for public and private clients in Germany and abroad. In the field of international development cooperation, we specialize in promoting sustainable agriculture and food security. On behalf of public and private institutions, we plan, implement, and evaluate projects across Asia, Africa, Eastern Europe, and Latin America.

To strengthen our team, we are currently looking for a Project Lead for Agri-Market System Development and Digitization in India (m/f/d). The technical focus lies on marketing, export promotion, product development, strengthening of value chains, and digitization/digital applications. 

Ihr Profil:

Minimum requirements:

• Completed university degree
• At least 10 years of professional experience
• Proven leadership experience in international projects
• Excellent written and spoken German and English skills

Additional qualifications/experiences:

• Academic background in (agricultural) economics, policy advisory, or related fields
• Experience in agri-product development, marketing, and export promotion/international agricultural trade
• Relevant knowledge in data-based agriculture, artificial intelligence, and digitization/digital applications in an agricultural context
• Sound knowledge of the German food and agricultural sector (including retail and wholesale), as well as a good network
• Experience in international cooperation, preferably with government institutions and private sector stakeholders
• Several years of management experience in complex projects
• Familiar with accounting procedures, administrative processes, and regulations in connection with publicly financed projects, or willing to familiarize yourself with them
• Regional experience in India (minimum 2 years)
• Hindi language skills are an asset
