We are an independent, agriculture-focused consulting company. Since 1981, we have been working for public and private clients in Germany and abroad. In the field of international development cooperation, we specialize in promoting sustainable agriculture and food security. On behalf of public and private clients, we plan, implement, and evaluate projects across Asia, Africa, Eastern Europe, and Latin America.

To strengthen our team, we are looking for a Key Expert for a trade project in Argentina (m/f/d) starting in September/October 2026. The technical focus is on agribusiness, agricultural trade (with a focus on the EU–Mercosur Agreement), and economic cooperation.

Your profile:

  • At least 5 years of professional experience
  • Fluency in Spanish and good command of written and spoken English
  • Proven experience in agribusiness, export promotion, foreign trade, or international agricultural trade
  • Sound knowledge of the Mercosur region as well as the EU–Mercosur Agreement and its implications for the agri-food sector
  • Good knowledge of the German agri-food sector and relevant export industries, particularly agricultural machinery, agricultural technology, the food industry, seeds, agricultural inputs, and upstream and downstream value chains
  • Experience in working with companies, business associations, and government institutions
  • Well-established network with relevant agribusiness stakeholders in Argentina
  • Experience in promoting business, investment, and innovation partnerships between European and Latin American stakeholders
  • Knowledge of deforestation-free supply chains (EUDR) and trade-related sustainability requirements
  • Ability to identify market opportunities for the German agri-food sector and develop concrete cooperation approaches and business opportunities
