AgiL – Saxon Agency for Regional Food
The agency is established and operated on behalf of the State Office for the Environment, Agriculture and Geology (LfULG) and financed by funds from the Free State of Saxony.
It advises free of charge on
- the establishment of market cooperations along the value chains,
- the development of logistics and marketing solutions,
- marketing structures and market conditions for regional products in Saxony,
- funding opportunities from the federal and state governments.
If more in-depth consulting services for individual farms are required, the agency provides targeted advice to agricultural consultants, business economists, planners or other specialized companies that offer their services for a fee. In this way, AgiL will make an important contribution to providing Saxon consumers with better access to regionally produced food and to increasing the value added for agricultural enterprises.
IAK Agrar Consulting GmbH is part of the working group led by AgroSax e.V. Other partners are the Landesverband Nachhaltiges Sachsen e.V. and INL – Privates Institut für Nachhaltige Landbewirtschaftung GmbH.
AgiL is based in the office building of IAK in Leipzig.
