IAK trains future CET consultants in Guatemala
As part of the project "Rural Development and Adaptation to Climate Change (ADAPTATE III)", the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH Guatemala has asked IAK Agrar Consulting GmbH for support. Using the train-the-trainer approach, representatives of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Guatemala are to be trained in the use of the Climate Expert Tool (CET) to then disseminate their knowledge in the country as consultants. All participating SMEs are organised in AGEXPORT, the association of Guatemalan exporting companies.
The CET is based on Excel and enables the SMEs to fully understand the risks of climate change and to develop strategies on how their companies can position themselves accordingly and respond well.
Sven Gehlhaar, Managing Director of IAK, will travel to Guatemala to conduct a training with about 18 participants from 20-22 February 2023.
