Activation of a working group for agriculture and climate in Ukraine

Within the framework of the German-Ukrainian Agricultural Policy Dialogue, this additional sub-project deals with the thematic complex of climate change and agriculture. The aim is to strengthen the structural capacities of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food and other governmental and non-governmental institutions in Ukraine.

Employees of the Ministry and representatives of other relevant institutions are supported in building their capacities for climate change mitigation measures and promoting adaptation of agriculture to climate change. This is done by providing experiences and elaborating knowledge in regular working group meetings and expert workshops, during an expert information trip to Germany, and in the framework of round tables. Among other things, the current draft of the climate strategy of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine is commented and a corresponding action plan is developed.
