The AgiL – Saxon Agency for Regional Food supports the development of regional value chains in Saxony. The agency provides information, advice and networking free of charge to all companies in the agricultural and food industries in Saxony that are interested in regional marketing. AgiL is the point of contact for agricultural businesses, the food trade, fresh produce wholesalers and food retailers, as well as logistics companies.

The agency is an initiative of the Saxon State Ministry for Energy, Climate Protection, Environment and Agriculture (SMEKUL). It works on behalf of the Saxon State Agency for Environment, Agriculture and Geology (LfULG).

IAK Agrar Consulting GmbH operates this agency together with the partners Landesverband Nachhaltiges Sachsen e.V., INL – Privates Institut für Nachhaltige Landbewirtschaftung GmbH and AgroSax e.V.
