The objective of the project is to conduct a feasibility study for three future irrigation investment projects, for which the EBRD will provide a EUR 15 million loan to the Serbian Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management (MAFWM). Under the future EBRD projects, primary irrigation infrastructure will be built or rehabilitated in eastern and northern Serbia, including two independent reservoirs. A new irrigation system will ensure reliable water supply to 1,042 ha of land.

The comprehensive analysis will include technical and economic feasibility as well as environmental and social aspects of the projects. The analysis is expected to be completed by the end of the year.
