Within the framework of the Sino-German Agricultural Center in Beijing (DCZ), this additional sub-project deals with climate change mitigation and adaptation in the agricultural sector. The topic of climate change is closely linked to the existing topics within the Agricultural Policy Dialogue and in particular the science component of the DCZ. To this end, a German-Chinese expert dialogue will be established to develop policy recommendations on innovative, climate-relevant measures in the agricultural sector in China.

Two teams of experts from Germany and China will develop technical publications, technical guidance and policy briefs on selected topics in the field of climate change mitigation and adaptation in a series of workshops and expert trips (to Germany and China). At a final conference, a roadmap for a climate-friendly agricultural policy in China will be adopted.

IAK Agrar Consulting GmbH is the lead partner in the consortium with the Leibniz Institute of Agricultural Development in Transition Economies (IAMO).
