Activities under German Food Bridge (GFB):
- Acquisition of emergency aid (mostly food) donations from mostly German companies and other organizations (retailers, food producers, associations, institutions, NGOs etc.)
- Constant processing of food donation requests from German companies and organizations and supporting until the emergency aid arrives in Ukraine
- Enquiries about the needs in the different war-injured regions in Ukraine
- Close cooperation with logistics providers to deliver emergency aid from Germany to Polish logistics hubs
- Cooperation with public Polish logistics hubs as an intermediate storage facility; establishment and operationalization of an own storage warehouse in Dębica, Poland, in cooperation with the German-Ukrainian, -Polish and -Baltic chamber of commerce
- Cooperation with more than 60 NGOs operating in Ukraine, which pick up goods from the hub in Dębica, Poland, and deliver them to people in Ukraine; constant communication about current status, exchange of footage etc.
- Info campaigning for German and international companies, aid organizations etc., social media activities, presentations (e.g. at fares such as the GFFA 2023) and other communication means
- Steady communication with the German Federal Ministry for Food and Agriculture (BMEL) and organization of media events, e.g. a visit of the German Federal Minister for Food and Agriculture Cem Özdemir at the hub in Dębica, Poland
With the integration of the GFB into the BMEL-funded BKP project German-Ukrainian Agricultural Policy Dialogue (APD), IAK Agrar Consulting GmbH has been the responsible implementer in the consortium with GOPA AFC GmbH since 1.1.2023.
