Rehabilitation of the Baghlan sugar factory and sugar beet cultivation

The feasibility study's aim was to analyze and evaluate the options for reopening the Baghlan sugar factory and reactivating sugar beet cultivation in the region. Both technical and economic aspects were taken into account.

• Inventory of agricultural production in the region
• Establishment of trial and demonstration areas
• Development of a concept for sugar beet cultivation, including the organization of the purchase and procurement of raw materials for the sugar factory

Economic evaluation

• Assessment of the economic feasibility of resuming sugar beet cultivation and rehabilitating the sugar factory
