  • Preparation of a feasibility study incl. the economic, agricultural and technical aspects
  • Regular provision of up-to-date information to a group of German and South African investors for the planning and preparation of a large-scale agro-industrial sugar cane production and processing project (target size MECU 90) in the Eastern Cape
  • Support in the negotiation of loans and equity capital from Europe and South Africa, incl. the involvement of government representatives from the RSA and the RSA Sugar Association
  • Creation of a viable concept for the integration of small, emerging and disadvantaged farmers into a commercial operation through collaboration with commercial producers and a project management structure
  • Creation of a scientific trial and demonstration plots in collaboration with KWS AG (Germany), incl. the development of a technical package for sugar beet cultivation under local conditions (soil preparation, weed management, fertilization, pest control, irrigation, mechanization) and the development of a follow-up model
