The ACP smallholder financing facility includes credit lines to microfinance institutions in Uganda and Cote d'Ivoire established to provide financial and technical support to smallholder farmers and small-scale food businesses. The technical advisory program complements the financial assistance and contributes to sustainable lending and compliance with environmental and social standards.

The project approach relies on linking microcredit lending with technical training for smallholder farmers in financial literacy and good agricultural practices. To this end, the project advises microfinance institutions, trains selected staff and assists in initiating cooperation with agricultural extension services.

The project is implemented by IPC – Internationale Projekt GmbH as lead partner in a consortium with IAK Agrar Consulting GmbH.
