The project

As part of the collaborative project “WIR! – LAND.VISION – AgrarJob-Pilot,” IAK Agrar Consulting GmbH supports the development of innovative approaches to recruiting, training, and sustainably integrating new target groups into the agricultural sector. The project focuses primarily on young people without a school-leaving certificate and people with an immigrant background. The project specifically targets agricultural businesses in the LAND.VISION region of Central Germany (Saxony, Thuringia, and Saxony-Anhalt) and develops practical solutions to secure a skilled workforce in regional agriculture.

At the same time, IAK contributes its international experience in the recruitment, training, and integration of skilled workers, as well as its expertise in multilingual learning and educational formats, to the project. IAK is responsible for analyzing the operational needs and competency requirements of agricultural enterprises, as well as for developing practical, multilingual learning and support programs. In addition, IAK is leveraging its extensive network in the German and international agricultural sector to actively involve agricultural businesses in the piloting and implementation phases.

  • Conducting workplace needs and skills assessments
  • Development of digital and practice-oriented learning modules
  • Support for the integration of international skilled workers
  • Establishment of regional networks between agriculture, education, and the field
  • Development of a sustainable continuity concept for the long-term utilization of project results
  • Creation of best-practice guidelines and digital learning resources 

By combining agricultural expertise, international experience, and digital educational approaches, the project makes an important contribution to securing a skilled workforce and ensuring the sustainability of agriculture in Central Germany.

The collaborative project is being implemented under the leadership of Maschinen- und Betriebshilfsring Westerzgebirge e.V. in partnership with IAK Agrar Consulting GmbH, the Institute for Applied Informatics e.V. (InfAI), and WeTeK Berlin gGmbH.
