Within the framework of the German-Mongolian Cooperation Project on Sustainable Agriculture (DMKNL), this additional sub-component deals with adaptation to climate change. Activities are being implemented to assess the impact of climate change on Mongolian agriculture and to explore options for adapting to changing cultivation conditions.

Through knowledge transfer and exchange of experience between Mongolian and German experts and agricultural advisors, the Mongolian agricultural sector will be made more aware of climate-friendly arable farming and, above all, how to adapt to the challenges of climate change. The project aims at knowledge and competence building in agricultural policy, research and extension, but will also provide tangible outputs in the form of a study, policy recommendations and multimedia information and training material for multipliers.

IAK Agrar Consulting GmbH is the lead partner in the consortium with AFC Agriculture and Finance Consultants GmbH and DLG International GmbH.
