The new Mission Soil Platform was officially launched on Feb 20, 2026. With NTU International as consortium lead, IAK Agrar Consulting GmbH supports the implementation of the EU Mission “A Soil Deal for Europe.”

Yesterday, we had the pleasure of welcoming Ethiopian Ambassador H.E. Eskindir Yirga Asfaw to our offices for a professional exchange. The focus was on issues relating to trade promotion, specific topics at product level, and new impetus for economic cooperation between Germany and Ethiopia, on which the IAK presented its consulting services. In addition, solutions were discussed in the context of the EU Deforestation Regulation and digital innovations to secure EU market access and strengthen sustainable value chains.

From Jan 26-30, 2026, the IAK conducted two intensive training courses on the use of the Climate Expert Tool for executives of companies in the Pakistani textile industry on behalf of the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH. In addition to new climate adaptation measures, a particular focus was placed on identifying market opportunities.

At the Global Forum for Food and Agriculture (GFFA) 2026 in Berlin, the IAK presented itself with its own booth and contributed its expertise on digital twins, water-smart agriculture, and resilient food systems to key technical and political formats – from international panels to high-level dialogues.

On Jan 12/13, 2026, the project teams of the BKP projects implemented by the IAK and colleagues from the IAK came together for an internal working meeting in Leipzig. The annual exchange focused on strategic issues, innovations from the projects, administrative topics, and personal dialogue.

The IAK has launched a new project in Angola to rehabilitate coffee cultivation in the country. With a focus on sustainable development, modern traceability, and sector-wide cooperation, the initiative aims to create a sustainable basis for the revival of the Angolan coffee sector.

At the COP30 World Climate Conference in Belém, Brazil, IAK Agrar Consulting GmbH actively participated in key debates on agriculture, climate, bioeconomy, and traceability through the German-Brazilian Agricultural Policy Dialogue (APD Brazil), which it implements and which is funded by the Federal Ministry of Agriculture, Food, and Regional Identity. The BMLEH was represented on site during COP30 and supported the inclusion of the APD team in the German UNFCCC delegation.

As one of eight Saxon companies, IAK presented itself at the joint stand of the Saxony Economic Development Corporation (WFS) at this year's AGRITECHNICA 2025 in Hanover. Interested visitors learned about our consulting services and our new FarmAxis tool. We also welcomed Georg-Ludwig von Breitenbuch, Saxony's Minister of State for the Environment and Agriculture, to our stand.

At a high-level event held in late October on the sidelines of the CAADP-PP and Africa Day for Food and Nutrition Security in Kigali, Rwanda, the Agricultural Policy Dialogue between the African Union and Germany officially launched an enhanced cooperation with Kenya, Botswana, Côte d’Ivoire, Mauritania, and Cameroon. The focus is on jointly promoting resilient agricultural and food systems.
