As part of a feasibility study, IAK Agrar Consulting GmbH assessed the site for a proposed 100-ha agricultural investment project in Ogun State, Nigeria. Discussions with representatives from government, academia, agriculture, and the agricultural value chain provided valuable insights for the project's next development phase.

As part of his visit to China, Alois Rainer also visited the Beijing project office of the Sino-German Agricultural Centre (DCZ), which is implemented by IAK. The visit marked the first by a Federal Minister of Agriculture since the DCZ was established in 2015 and highlights the importance of German-Chinese cooperation in the agricultural sector.

In collaboration with its partners, IAK Agrar Consulting GmbH is developing innovative solutions to recruit, train, and integrate new workers into the agricultural sector in Central Germany as part of the “LAND.VISION – AgrarJob-Pilot” project, which is funded by the Federal Ministry of Research, Technology, and Space (BMFTR).

How can sustainable soil management, soil health and contaminated site remediation be further advanced through international cooperation? During the visit of a high-level Chinese delegation to IAK in Leipzig, current developments in European and Chinese soil policy as well as innovative approaches in soil and environmental protection were at the center of the professional exchange. The visit took place within the framework of the Sino-German Agricultural Center (DCZ), implemented by IAK.

IAK Agrar Consulting GmbH has officially been listed as a consulting company under the “Beratungsgutscheine Afrika” programme of the German Federal Office for Economic Affairs and Export Control (BAFA). This enables small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) as well as skilled trades businesses to access subsidised consulting services for their economic projects in all African countries.

With the official launch of the project in Luanda, IAK and the Instituto Nacional do Café de Angola (INCA) have taken an important step toward the sustainable development of Angola’s coffee sector. In addition to high-level political discussions, the focus was placed on the first training sessions for multipliers in the coffee-growing region of Gabela. Through knowledge transfer, practical training, and institutional cooperation, the project aims to strengthen the long-term competitiveness of the coffee sector.

From Apr 18-25, 2026, a high-level Brazilian delegation visited Germany as part of a scientific study tour organized within the framework of the German-Brazilian Agricultural Policy Dialogue implemented by IAK Agrar Consulting GmbH. The visit focused on innovation, bioeconomy and sustainability, as well as strengthening bilateral scientific cooperation.

In mid-April 2026, the two-day IAK herd manager training 2026 brought together dairy farming specialists and managers to develop practical solutions for successful herd management. Day 1 featured in-depth presentations from experts in science, consulting, and the field, while Day 2 offered direct insights into implementation in everyday farm operations through a farm tour and hands-on exercises.
