The ongoing GIZ project "Climate Adaptation and Finance in Rural India (CAFRI)" provides advisory services by conducting climate risk analyses and developing proposals for climate change adaptation measures. In particular, agricultural producer organizations are supported to develop robust adaptation strategies to strengthen the resilience of their respective business models. In addition, the National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD) and other stakeholders will be trained to use blended finance approaches to leverage innovative sources of financing for climate change adaptation. To this end, an existing climate change adaptation tool is being tailored to the needs of India's agricultural sector.

The implementer is IAK Agrar Consulting GmbH.
