Climate resilience of small and medium-sized enterprises in the agricultural and food sector – 8 new Climate Experts

Following the train-the-trainer approach, participants in the training prepared and presented theoretical modules and conducted a case study to examine how climate change affects a company and what risks and opportunities arise.

These risks and opportunities were then entered into the Climate Expert Tool and assessed for their economic value in a cost-benefit analysis. On this basis, adaptation measures can be identified and prioritized and developed into an adaptation strategy for the company.

IAK Agrar Consulting GmbH plans to apply the Climate Expert Tool directly on site in small and medium-sized enterprises. Therefore, the role of the Climate Expert as a consultant was also discussed.
