IAK at the 15th GFFA

IAK Agrar Consulting GmbH carries out numerous projects for the Federal Ministry of Food and Agriculture (BMEL) abroad. At the 15th Global Forum for Food and Agriculture (GFFA), which took place in Berlin from Jan 18-21, 2023, we therefore had an intensive exchange with representatives of the BMEL, GFA Consulting Group GmbH, other consulting companies and non-governmental organisations. The main focus was on sustainable agricultural and food systems and the BMEL's priorities for the coming years.

The projects of the BMEL's Bilateral Cooperation Programme (BKP) were also presented at the GFFA, including the German-Ukrainian Agricultural Policy Dialogue (APD) conducted by IAK. This year, the Ukrainian Minister for Agricultural Policy and Food, Mykola Solskyi, and the Federal Minister for Food and Agriculture, Cem Özdemir, visited the BMEL stand together. There, Federal Minister Özdemir presented certificates of honour to the project leaders of all Ukrainian BKP projects in recognition of their dedicated work in the current situation, which is so difficult due to the war in Ukraine. Together with Mykola Solskyi, he highlighted the agricultural advisory activities of APD Ukraine and thanked the project leader Mariya Yaroshko, the project team and the project partners on the ground for their reliable and successful work.
