Almost 200 participants, mainly from Argentina, Brazil and Germany, held intensive and critical discussions in Buenos Aires on Jul 3, 2023 about bioeconomy as a provider of solutions for sustainable agriculture and more intensive transnational cooperation in this field.

„Crisis-proof food systems in the Western Balkans” – with this focus, the BMEL-funded APD Germany – Western Balkans presented current activities and results at this year's IAMO Forum in Halle (Saale) and discussed future activities.

As a member of the GIZ Rural Development Working Group, we had the pleasure of welcoming the participants of the 101st meeting to our premises this time. The main topics were bioeconomy and soil health.

As part of the APD Brazil, which is funded by the BMEL and implemented by the IAK, an expert delegation visited Germany to exchange experiences on sustainable agricultural development in Germany and Brazil.

Representatives of IAK travelled to Ukraine to exchange technical information with the project partners of APD Ukraine, which is implemented by IAK, in Kiev and Berezan.

On behalf of the consortium Unique land use GmbH and IAK Agrar Consulting GmbH, representatives of IAK handed over important equipment for the jointly implemented project "Sustainable Forest Implementation" in Kiev.

In Skopje, North Macedonia, the new regional expert advisory working group (REAWG) "Climate Change Adaptation in Agriculture" started its project work last week. Stanimira Penkova, International Coordinator of the BMEL-funded APD Germany – Western Balkans, was on site for IAK.

Conventional farmers can also farm sustainably. To help them assess the degree of sustainability of their production, the German Farmers' Union (Deutscher Bauernbund e.V.) commissioned the German Institute for Sustainable Agricultural Culture (DINAK) to evaluate some farms in Saxony-Anhalt. DINAK is a cooperation of IAK Agrar Consulting GmbH and INL – Privates Institut für nachhaltige Landbewirtschaftung GmbH. The mdr reported about it on May 14, 2023.

On the occasion of a visit by high-ranking political decision-makers from Angola, Managing Director Sven Gehlhaar and Team Leader Syman Jurk, both from International Consulting at IAK Agrar Consulting GmbH, took part in the Business Forum Angola Economic at the Embassy of the Republic of Angola in Berlin on May 12, 2023.
