The Sino-German Agricultural Center (DCZ) in Beijing is the central contact, information and coordination point for bilateral cooperation in the agricultural and food sector between Germany and China. By establishing a dialogue platform for agricultural topics of mutual interest, the DCZ aims to intensify cooperation in the sustainable, environmentally and climate-friendly agriculture and food sector as well as in the promotion of strong rural regions. The project also aims to develop overarching, innovative principles and guidelines for the development of a sustainable, environmentally and climate-friendly agriculture and food industry. An in-depth expert dialogue on priority sub-topics is intended to strengthen the exchange between expert organizations and lead to jointly developed approaches and recommendations for action. Furthermore, the scientific exchange between German and Chinese institutions of applied research on solutions for a sustainable, environmentally and climate friendly agriculture and food industry should be further developed and promoted.

The IAK Agrar Consulting GmbH is the lead partner in the consortium with the Leibniz Institute of Agricultural Development in Transition Economies (IAMO).
